Romain cofounded Gorgias with Alex Plugaru 3 years ago, straight out of college. Their first product was a Chrome extension that helps write emails faster. They attended an accelerator program in New York called Techstars, and started working on a support helpdesk. At the end of the program they raised 1.5 million and decided to move to San Francisco to focus on the growth of Gorgias. Their product is a customer support app for Shopify merchants, that helps them manage all their support requests in one place, and automatically respond to common questions.
